The Capital Area Campus of the Ana G. Méndez University Closes Its Doors

Ana G. Méndez University (UAGM) announces the closure of the Capital Area Campus in Maryland effective December 12 of this year. The closure is part of the institution's restructuring plan to a single university under a single name and administrative structure.

UAGM will continue to offer courses until the end of the fall 2020 semester. During this period of time, students may have the opportunity to take a limited number of classes for a limited number of programs. Students will be offered alternate options to continue with their program of study.

Students enrolled in internships, practices or clinical field experiences will continue to be supported by an assigned instructor until the term is completed on December 12, 2020. The institution will continue to provide student services to current students and alumni, all in accordance to the policies that can be found in the institution’s Catalog.

As part of the process, the campus administration will have a Student Town Hall on June 16 to provide students with further information regarding the status of the Capital Area Campus and ask any questions. In the meantime, they may contact the director of the CAC, Rupert Acosta, through his email, ruacosta@uagm.edu or by phone at 301-949-2224 extension 8403.
