Short bio:
Dr. Jose E. Barreto’s lifelong dedication to learning and living optimally can be attributed to his belief that every person deserves to live an active and productive life.
Prior to pursuing his studies in medicine, Dr. Barreto received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Puerto Rico-Medical Science Campus in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He continued his academic career at Ponce School of Medicine where he received his medical degree. His passion for rehabilitation and exercise led him to specialize in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. From there, he continued to complete a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management and Regenerative Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Barreto has continued his learning in lifestyle medicine, human performance, epigenetic coaching and life coaching which he combines in his practice to achieve better outcomes. He also coaches individual clients who want to optimize their life. He is the founder of Regenomics, a center of excellence for optimal musculoskeletal health and human performance. Dr. Barreto is bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows him to interact and care for a diverse and client patient population.
